Ik ben als lid aangesloten bij de vakverenigingen Restauratoren Nederland, ARA Nederland en ICOM-CC. Ik werk volgens de Europese E.C.C.O. en A.I.C. richtlijnen.
Mijn filosofie is om het kunstwerk zo min mogelijk te veranderen met betrekking tot de oorspronkelijke bedoeling van de kunstenaar. Daartoe onderzoek ik elk kunstwerk nauwkeurig en pas ik mijn methodologieën aan om te voldoen aan zowel de behoeften van het schilderij als de klant. In overeenstemming met mijn overtuiging dat herstel niet-invasief moet zijn is mijn werk volledig omkeerbaar.



Opleiding
Ik ben opgeleid tot restaurator aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam, waar ik een MA in Conservering en Restauratie van Cultureel Erfgoed heb gevolgd. Hierna heb ik een tweejarige post-master voltooid waarin ik werkzaam was als restaurator in opleiding bij verschillende instituten, waaronder Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL) te Maastricht, het Kröller-Müller Museum en het Museo Nacional del Prado te Madrid.

How do I get a price quote?
The introductory examination of the painting is free. We will discuss your budget and your wishes for treatment. After this, I will give write a (free) proposal for treatment with a price estimate.
Do I come to you or do you come to me?
You can bring your painting to me or I am also happy to come to you.

Where are you located?
I have ateliers in Beekbergen and Ouderkerk a/d Amstel. I also work on-site. This means I can easily serve clients from Apeldoorn, Arnhem, Deventer, Zwolle and more.
What will I receive at the end of the treatment?
You will receive your restored painting and a digital report describing the treatments I carried out and photos before, during, and after the process. This report is useful to restorers who may encounter your painting in the next generation.
Can I see how the treatment is going during the process?
I would love to involve you in the progress of your painting’s treatment! You are always welcome to visit and I will also send you photos and updates of your treatment during the process.
How long will treatment take?
Every case is different! Short treatments can take one week and longer treatments can take a few months. It depends on the size of the painting and the treatments it needs!
Do I have to pay VAT?
No! My business is part of the Kleine Ondernemers Regeling (KOR), so you do not have to pay any sales tax.
Are there any risks to treatment?
All treatments change a painting. Usually the result meets the wishes of the client. We will discuss what these changes will be before I begin treatment to ensure that we are on the same page with your desired outcome. Additionally, all treatments I do are reversible in accordance with E.C.C.O professional guidelines.
